Tips:
- If the name of the farm is blue with an underline; that's a link to their website or Facebook page. Click on it for the most current hours and information.
- ALWAYS call the farm or store BEFORE YOU GO
- many farms have closed in the past year, and of course, we won't know until the season starts and we find they aren't open! Call to confirm their supply, their hours
and whether they have trees, are allowing choose-and-cut or just precut trees; and which attractions or winter activities are available.
All three can change during the short Christmas season, due to weather, demand and the farmer's business conditions! Farms get sold, shut down or run out of trees, and they don't all update me every day, let alone every year. For
more tips to make your trip fun and successful, click here
!
DON'T DRIVE OUT THERE IF YOU CAN'T REACH THEM (by phone, email or find current information on their website or Facebook page!
- And please tell the farmer you visit in Kansas City and west-central Missouri that you found their farm
here! I need the farmers to realize that you found them here so that they will keep their information up to date!
And if you know of one I missed and want to add it or correct the
information, please let me know! There are affiliate links on this page. Read our disclosure policy

Google Map provided) does not sync with Google's map pointers at this

with geo-survey data which brings you to our door from I-29. Karbaumer
Farm is a small farm powered by draft horses. We use no tractors. We use
no chemicals in our gardens or pastures. We farm organically.
Klaus and two of our huge Belgian draft horses will show you the
countryside! Klaus is Bavarian-born and came to America in 1991. He'll
entertain you with his observations of American life and enlighten you
about the use of horses in our farming history. You'll marvel at the
command he has of these magnificent workers with just the slightest
movement of his fingers on the harness lines. Our horses-Charlie, Beau
and Norman-are up to eighteen hands tall and weigh over a ton each.
Their shoes are as big as dinner plates! Ride on a farm wagon full of
hay bales or a lovely buggy with benches for six. Smell the sweet
hay-and maybe the horses just a little. If there's a new blanket of snow
on the ground you'll experience the silence of a winter day broken by
the clink-clink of the harness rings and the clop-clop of the horses'
hooves. The horses are hitched up for farm and garden work in all
seasons. Choose your season for an unforgettable wagon ride. When you
come to Karbaumer Farm for a wagon ride-whatever the season-have a
bonfire and picnic in a small grove of trees right on the farm. There's
even a bandstand if you'd like to bring a band along to entertain your
group. Try fishing for your supper in our small farm pond or just row
out to the middle and feed the fish their supper instead. Call or e-mail
for prices, planning and trail conditions.
