Tips:

• If the name of the farm is blue with an underline; that's a link to their website or Facebook page. Click on it for the most current hours and information.
• ALWAYS call the farm or store BEFORE YOU GO - many farms have closed in the past year, and of course, we won't know until the season starts and we find they aren't open! Call to confirm their supply, their hours and whether they have trees, are allowing choose-and-cut or just precut trees; and which attractions or winter activities are available. All three can change during the short Christmas season, due to weather, demand and the farmer's business conditions! Farms get sold, shut down or run out of trees, and they don't all update me every day, let alone every year. For more tips to make your trip fun and successful, click here !

Directions: Homestead Evergreens is located about 5 miles west of Eldora on Highway 175. From Iowa falls, we are about 10 miles south on highway 65 then a mile east on highway 175. We run a popular fundraising event for groups wanting to make money; In the past, some groups have been: school groups (like band), Boy/Girl Scouts, 4H groups, and church groups; This is a great and fun opportunity for any groups! You can spend as much time as you want making your selection from the more than 40,000 trees. After finding the tree that is just right, you can harvest it with a saw we will provide. or you can use your own saw. NO GAS OR BATTERY POWERED CHAIN SAWS WILL BE ALLOWED. For 2021, we will also have pre-harvested trees, grown at Walnut Ridge Farm, displayed in the lighted building for you to choose from if we have bad weather.
