Tips:
- If the name of the farm is blue with an underline; that's a link to their website or Facebook page. Click on it for the most current hours and information.
- ALWAYS call the farm or store BEFORE YOU GO
- many farms have closed in the past year, and of course, we won't know until the season starts and we find they aren't open! Call to confirm their supply, their hours
and whether they have trees, are allowing choose-and-cut or just precut trees; and which attractions or winter activities are available.
All three can change during the short Christmas season, due to weather, demand and the farmer's business conditions! Farms get sold, shut down or run out of trees, and they don't all update me every day, let alone every year. For
more tips to make your trip fun and successful, click here
!
DON'T DRIVE OUT THERE IF YOU CAN'T REACH THEM (by phone, email or find current information on their website or Facebook page!
- And please tell the farmer you visit in northern California that you found their farm
here! I need the farmers to realize that you found them here so that they will keep their information up to date!
And if you know of one I missed and want to add it or correct the
information, please let me know! There are affiliate links on this page. Read our disclosure policy

Comments from a visitor on
November 30, 2010: "This farm was great. We called ahead and left a
message to get pricing, they called us back moments later, the farm was huge,
and the different types of trees were mapped out. They had silvertips that
were healthy and full at 8' tall for (Prices may have changed!) $43.00, (it must've grown on the trip
home because it is 9 feet tall now). If you mention this site they give you a
discount. Very fair and honest, we will be going back every year. It felt like
childhood. The farm loaned us a sharp saw and allowed us to bring our two dogs
with, we had a fun time in the snow with nobody around. Trees are close to the
gates and road so dragging them to the truck on a tarp was nothing. The best,
fullest silvertip we have ever had, & we know how fresh it is. They promote
reforesting and tell you how to cut the trees right. If you like snowy old
fashioned, rustic, wild Christmas Tree hunting close to civilization, with no
frills, (they didn't have wreaths this year, but they had hot cider) George's
is the place to go. Paved roads all the way. We ate at Dale's Station on the
way back to town, good food, homemade. It is going to be a wonderful Christmas
2010. Thanks, George!"
