American Farm Bureau's Thanksgiving Dinner for 10 people 2023

For comparison, here is what the Farm Bureau calculates for a Thanksgiving dinner for 10 in 2023: Seems far too little for 10 people and there certainly would not be any leftovers, unless you got a 20 lbs or larger turkey and more of everything else. It assumes you make the pies and cranberry sauce from scratch and have the eggs, sugar, butter, spices, etc. already.

  • 16-pound turkey $27.35
  • Pumpkin pie mix, 30 oz can. $4.44
  • Milk, 1-gallon whole $3.74
  • 1-pound veggie tray (carrots & celery) $0.90
  • 12 Dinner Rolls, $3.84
  • 2 Pie crusts/shells $3.50
  • 1 lb Green peas,  $1.88
  • 12 ounce bag of Fresh cranberries, $2.10
  • 1 can of Whipping cream, $1.73
  • 3 lbs Sweet potatoes $3.97
