Reminiscent of "over the river and through the woods..." except instead of heading to Grandma's our trail makes it's way through our "North American Wildlife Exhibits" allowing passengers the opportunity to see our wolves, mountain lions, river otters, wolverines, reindeer and many others playing in their exhibit areas. The trail continues into the forest along old logging roads out to the campfire area. The ride is 1.5 hours long including the 30-minute stop around the campfire. Be sure to bring along snacks to enjoy while gathering by the fire. We find guest enjoy roasting marshmallows and eating s'mores around our campfire. Wheels or Runners? The condition of our trails determine whether or not we use wheels or runners. In order to operate the larger sleigh we need a 6 inch base of packed snow. The 20-passenger hay wagons and sleighs are very similar to each other in style. The runners are antique logging sleds used about 30 years ago to haul logs. We have placed a modified hay wagon style body on these runners. We do use hay in our larger sleighs because its help to keep our guest warm while traveling. Departures: 11 & 11:30 am, 1 & 1:30 pm, 3 & 3:30 pm

A visitor writes on November 30, 2009: "Sidmore's Lakeview Christmas Tree Farm - They take cash only, and have lots of different trees. We were just there on Sunday 11/29. The trees are all mixed up, which is nice for contrast, but a little confusing. They provide sleds to haul the trees, and they will bale the trees and tie them onto your car for you. (We gave a small tip to the guy) There's a little barn that has Christmas tree coloring books, as well as hot chocolate for sale and pre-decorated wreaths also. Beautiful view of Lake Pleasant, bring your camera - they have a horse drawn sleigh in front of it and it's a great family picture with your tree and your family. Dogs on site are quite friendly. They also have a very sweet cow on site. Great place to go - as we got 3 trees and are thrilled with all of them. "

For years Warren Farm has used common sense farm practices such as cover cropping and crop rotation. Small farms do not use the same methods the large corporate farms use. The pesticide charts that state certain fruits and vegetables are high in sprays do not at all reflect the methods employed by small farms for many reasons too numerous to list here. Please ask us why, we love to educate. (UPDATED: June 07, 2009)
