GA County Map

Whether you want to cut your own tree, pick a live tree and have it cut for you, buy a tree already cut or buy a living tree you can plant, this page provides detailed listings of the Atlanta Area of Georgia's choose-and-cut Christmas tree farms, places to buy pre-cut (also called pre-harvested and fresh-cut) trees, stands, sleigh rides, hay rides and related winter events and fun. Some listings are for tree farms, others are tree lots, and some only offer hay rides, sleigh rides or other winter events. READ EACH LISTING to know what each facility offers. The farms are listed further down this page, so scroll down the page! Since this service is free and open to ALL Christmas tree farms, not just those who belong to an association or pay for an ad, like almost all other websites do, this is the most complete and current listing available! I'm always looking for more to add, and to correct any inaccuracies or errors, so if you encounter any, please email me!

Comments from Blake:  I visited Pettit's on December 6, 2008. They have quite a variety of exotic animals, reindeer and a Santa's grotto,  Unfortunately, it was still light when we arrived, so we were able to see the 1 mile plus of Christmas lights and the place was deserted, except for employees. There are no choose-and-cut tres, just a rather modest selection of precut trees. I would think, between the animals, lights, Santa and reindeer, this would be a fun early evening activity for families.

Comments from Blake:  I visited Kinsey's on December 6, 2009 and again in 2012. The folks are super friendly and helpful!  They have fires going and sell marshmallows, plus s'mores kits, with clean sticks to roast them over the fire.  They provide free hot apple cider (a generous cup), free wagon rides (you don't need to buy a tree or anything to take the ride).  They have fresh cut Fraser Firs brought in from North Carolina daily and kept in water.  Those have to be the freshest Fraser Firs in the Atlanta area..  As you can tell, I was very impressed with the quality and friendliness of this farm  These folks are doing it right!  If they add Santa visits, it would be perfect!"
    A visitor writes on February 26, 2011:
"My kids went on a field trip here and begged to go back. We bought our Christmas tree from them and several plants from their nursery. It's a fun, family environment. "

We also offer free tree cutting service for those who don't care to cut their own. Each tree is mechanically shaken to remove dead needles, abandoned bird nests and anything else that you don't want in your tree. We don't use pesticides on our trees. During the hot summer months, our trees are full of birds, ladybugs, praying mantises and other beneficial insects. As the weather cools, the birds fly South, the ladybugs move to the ground for warmth and after the first freeze the praying mantises will die. They leave an egg case that will hatch next year's praying mantis. While shaking, we inspect each tree for egg cases. They're removed and later deposited in the trees for next year.
